Oakland Airport Dike 1B
The Port of Oakland Cement Bentonite wall consisted of an 1,800 LF cement bentonite wall keyed into Young Bay Mud to protect the airport runways from potential flooding events. This project is part of a larger effort to protect the perimeter of the Oakland International Airport. Odin was the subcontractor for OC Jones General Contractors. Unique features of this project include the security clearances required to work adjacent to the runway, extensive coordination with the airport operation, and meeting the completion schedule.
