Training Complete: CPR/First Aid and Blood-Borne Pathogens

March 6th, 2020

National Construction Safety Week, normally held the week of May 4-8, has been postponed due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite delays, Odin team members completed CPR/First Aid and Blood-Borne Pathogens training on May 6th, 2020 while maintaining social distance requirements. Representatives from each active project learned standard first aid practices, CPR, defibrillator use, and other life-saving skills.

In addition to the CPR/First Aid and Blood-Borne Pathogens training, each of our active job sites conducted hands-on fire extinguisher practice.  This training included basic operation of a fire extinguisher, including the acronym P-A-S-S (pull-aim-squeeze-sweep), and practice discharging fire extinguishers against simulated fire targets. Office staff and work-from-home employees will be provided hands-on practice opportunity once the COVID-19 stay-at-home orders are lifted.
